"Ito ang bersyon ng
community pantry ng
Marikina: Libre at de kalidad
na edukasyon para sa lahat at
pantay na pagkakataon para
sa pag-unlad"

Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” R. Teodoro said in a video that the PLMar: CPAIPS Facebook Page posted last July 28, 2021.

Starting Academic Year 2021-2022, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, one of the existing Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), is qualified to implement R.A. 10931, commonly known as the Unified Student Financial Assistant System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST).

Upon conducting institutional and program evaluations, the university was able to fulfill and pass the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)'s requirements to be able to qualify in the said program.

This law mandates free tuition and other educational expenses among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), as well as equitable access to quality education for all Filipinos. With that, non-Marikina residents enrolled at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina are also qualified beneficiaries to acquire free tuition fees and other related educational expenses as provided by UniFAST.

To be eligible for the grant, a student needs to secure and to fill out an agreement form and a corresponding endorsement from the office of Mayor, Marcelino Teodoro. Guidelines and conditions stipulated on the agreement such as admission and retention policies needs to be strictly adhered to by students to be able to enjoy the privileges being accorded to them as rightful beneficiaries.
